From 1938/9 this was the residence of Bruce and Mabel Boulter until 1961/2 when it was bought by a Fred DuPlessis who operated a bootmakers business here. In 1976 Laurie and Dianne Praed bought it for $23,000 and operated a accountancy business. They sold in 2000 to a lawyer and that site is now the shopping mall containing the Commonwealth Bank and Dale Alcock as some of its tenants.If you would like to learn more about the local history of Margaret River, visit The Old Settlement Museum down the river.
