The house was built in 1929 by a Mr B. Hudspeth for Mr Robert Wise and family. Robert Wise came from Augusta and started a charabanc service, transporting travelers around the district. He also started a garage opposite. In 2006 Kim Wedderburn bought the site and built a large double story complex comprising his travel agency, accommodation units and Margaret River Bookshop.
