Margaret River Roads Board/AMR Shire Hall and Offices
This was the town's second hall and was opened in 1936 where it serviced the then Roads Board (now Shire) in the front and a very large hall at the rear. This building provided the community with many entertainment options including balls, sporting group activities and picture shows (movies).
In 1968 the then Shire built new offices on land to the north of the hall. As the community grew these offices were becoming too small and the hall was demolished to make way for more office space. This led to a newer Cultural Centre been built at Gloucester Park in the 1983. Eventually the Shire decided also to move to Gloucester Park in 2011 and the site was sold to the present owners Woolworths, who built the complex know as The Village at Margs.

The old school, the group settlement house, the blacksmith workshop, and many other buildings with household items, tools and machinery offer an insight into the history of early life in the district and the families that once lived and worked the land.
